LIDYA KING HIGHWAY ROUTE
When we say King's Road, we think of Darius, the great and powerful Persian King of the time, and the Lydian King Karun (Cresus), who, with his commercial success, could sometimes challenge even the Persians.
However, of course, it must be said that the end was by the Persian King Darius.
The King's Road is the road that leaves the capital of Persians, Susa, passes through today's Baghdad (Ninova) and ends in Malatya, Tokat, Ankara, Eskişehir, Afyon and Manisa, in Sardes (Salihli-Sart), the capital of Lydia.
The potential on the route from Ankara to Sardes shows the Lydian civilization domination region of its time. The triangle of Eskişehir, Afyon, Kütahya on this route is also known as the Phrygian Valley. In addition, the region that passes through Uşak to Manisa is home to many tourism potentials.
Ruins, ancient cities, thermal springs, fertile lands, abundant and diverse fruit growing offer quite generous gifts to travelers on this route.
At the same time, the region is home to a geography where the hottest moments of the War of Independence took place.
In Gordion, the capital of Phrygian Civilization between Ankara and Eskişehir, close to eighty tumuli, the largest of which belonged to the legendary Phrygian King Midas, await travelers.
You stopped at Duatepe, which was held on the last line of defense of the Sakarya war, near Polatlı on the way and visualized the days of the War of Independence.
We assume that you visited the Ankara Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and saw the Phrygian Civilization artifacts there.
On top of that, we recommend you to visit the Gordion Museum.
On the way, Midas Monument, Phrygia Yazılıkaya Valley, Zahran Valley, Kumbet Valley, Seyit Battal Gazi Lodge and Tomb, Sivrihisar village of Nasreddin Hodja and Yunus Emre, Pessinus ancient city, famous for its temple of Cybele in Ballıhisar, awaits you.
You should definitely spend time in Sivrihisar and visit the Ulu Mosque and Zaim Ağa Mansion.
We do not forget Kütahya, the land of tiles in the Phrygian triangle, and we turn our course to the ancient city of Aizanoi. The impressive temple of Zeus awaits its visitors.
We set off with a thermal break and a vigorous body in Afyon Gazlıgöl. The sacred geography where the War of Independence took place from Afyon Kocatepe stretches across the land of our homeland before us. It is on our route in Dumlupınar.
After the Afyon tour on the Manisa road, our first city is Uşak. Of course, we will see Uşak historical houses and Uşak carpets and rugs, but the star of Uşak is the Uşak Museum, where the treasures of Karun shine.
Winged seahorse brooch ... and many more here.
There are Kula Volcano and Kula Fairy Chimneys between Uşak and Manisa on the Lydian King Road route. And if you want to climb, the ancient city of Aigai was established on Yunt Mountain, which is said to mean goat in Ancient Greek.
The last stop on our route is the Lydian capital, Sardes ancient city.
The synagogue, which is the 3rd century AD structure, which is still intact, takes us to the witness of history.

Since our aim here is not to write a lengthy travel article, we have written very specific visit points to explain the importance of the route.
